How to cook Jamaican Jerk Chicken in the oven.

Jamaican Jerk Chicken is a flavorful and spicy dish that is traditionally cooked over an open flame. However, it is also possible to cook Jerk Chicken in the oven and my authentic Jamaican Jerk Seasoning comes in a non- spicy option. Here is a simple recipe to make Jamaican Jerk Chicken in the oven:

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of chicken thighs or drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup of Z Eats Authentic Jamaican Jerk seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Z Eats Everything Seasoning
  • Salt to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix Z Eats Authentic Jamaican Jerk seasoning, olive oil, and Z Eats Everything Seasoning.

  3. Rub the mixture onto the chicken pieces, making sure they are evenly coated. Sprinkle salt to taste if needed. It is best to let chicken marinate for at least 3 hours.

  4. Place the chicken pieces on a baking tray lined with foil. You can also use a wire rack to elevate the chicken for better airflow.

  5. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).

  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  7. You can serve the Jamaican Jerk Chicken with rice, beans, or any side dish of your choice.
